Pomona College

Pomona College hosts an annual community engagement and sustainability event known as the Powwow. This event hosts local Native Americans as an intertribal gathering to celebrate culture and honor traditions through music and dance on campus for free.

Pomona College students are also interested and involved in Native American issues. Rory Taylor ’18 visited the White House in November of 2015 to speak out for Native American Youth, citing the low—and declining—high-school graduation rate for Native American youth.
